Dinham Hall is a fine Georgian townhouse situated next to the Norman castle and tucked into a quiet corner in the centre of Ludlow. The Castle itself plays host to many events throughout the year including the world famous Shakespearean Festival held in June/July of each year; the Ludlow Food Festival, an annual fixture on the second weekend in September and the wonderful Medieval Christmas Fayre, with vendors in Period Costume, the last weekend of November. The Market Square, established by Charter around a thousand years ago, continues to be the heart of the town. Regular local and Farmers markets together with Craft, Antique, Book and Plant fayres provide interesting hunting grounds and a perfect compliment to the towns many boutiques, gift emporiums and purveyors of fine local produce, for which of course, Ludlow is world famous.
Within walking distance of the Hotel, one will find Mortimer Forest...thousands of acres of well marked trails, bridleways and paths......With unbelievable views, it is famous too for its fossils. The river Teme perfect for fishing or canoeing, tumbles through weirs and under bridges and Flora and Fauna thrive in this beautiful unspoilt corner of England.
The towns modern Leisure Centre with indoor pool, sauna, courts and gym is within a 20 minute stroll, as is the small local Golf Course. The larger Golf course, bicycle hire, horse riding/trekking and Ludlow Horse Racing Course are all a 5 minute drive away. A little further one can find Outdoor activities, such as Quad Biking, Paintballing and Hang Gliding.
Ludlow is famous too of course for its Gastronomy.... Restaurants, Pubs and Eateries for whilst you are here and Delis, Butchers and all the Specialist shops (Cheese, Wine, Chocolate!) to provide that little something special to take home with you!
